Advanced Point of Sale (made easy) is network ready allowing multiple workstations to share data across a network. Multiple licenses, one per station, are required in a network.

Advanced Point of Sale (made easy) will run on any PC with a 486 or higher processor running DOS, Windows for Workgroups, Windows95, Windows98, and WindowsXP. A printer is needed to print reports. Receipts can be printed on the report printer or a separate receipt printer. A cash drawer, bar code reader, and Pole Display can also be added. Credit Card verification can easily be integrated for more accurate and efficient operation.

Multilingual support has been added by way of a language dictionary that can be modified for all languages You can now create a custom dictionary changing any text shown on the screen or in a printout allowing you to modify and create your own custom language dictionary. In the future James Enterprises of NY, Inc. will release dictionaries already built for many common languages.

A part kit to allow one part number to pull multiple parts from stock as a kit. This allows you to create a part number and price for an item that is made up of other items you stock. When you select the kit each item is pulled from stock and added to the sale with no additional cost.

Added a case feature. This feature allows you to purchase and sell the same item as a case or an individual item using one stock but separate pricing.

Added a feature to show Cash register sale totals in large font at end of sale. When a sale is over the total sale is shown in large font along with the change for easier viewing.

Added the ability to track quantity of parts or not on a part by part basis. You can now select if an individual part will have an on hand quantities or not.

Added tracking of price paid for an item giving more accurate profit margins. Each individual item is tracked for its cost.

Added a cost bar on the accounting graphs for visual profit margins. There are now two bars for each time period, one showing the cost of the items sold, and the other showing the amount the items were sold for.

We are adding a feature to allow messages to print on the bottom of a receipt automatically when a particular part is sold. Each part can now be assigned a message number, from a message created using the sales messages, this message will print on all receipts when the part is sold.

An activity report has been added to the end of day report This report tracks the number of parts sold as well as total dollars for the different hours of the day allowing you to know the time of day most sales are made.

Gift dollars can now be given for purchases. The system will allow you the setup a gift dollar rate i.e. for every twenty-five dollars sold one gift dollar is issued.

An easy to find search feature has been added to the database list. You can now find text during the database list using our new find feature.

The ability to modify which printouts print during the end of day report has been added. This feature lets you choose which printouts you would like to print every day while printing the end of day report and which reports you would not want to print. It can easily be changed.

Fixed paper problems with receipt printer feeding too much paper.

Added the ability to modify the printer codes. After selecting a printer type you will have the opportunity modify each of the codes.

We are in the process of adding an on-account feature for customer accounts. This feature will allow you to invoice customers and include 30-60-90 billing.
