Label
Vista is a program that allows users with little or no programming
background to design labels that can be printed on CPCL-compatible
Zebra Technologies Mobile Printers.
It combines an intuitive
graphically based user environment with powerful but easily
mastered editing tools.
In addition, Label Vista allows the easy creation of "format
files," which can remain resident in the printer for
simple merges with variable data files sent from the host.
This provides a very efficient method of printing labels
that have a mixture of constant and variable data fields.
The font creation capabilities of Label Vista allow you
to create downloadable pre-scaled (fixed-size) fonts derived
from TrueType fonts. Label Vista permits allows direct
use of TrueType fonts in labels, but these label files can
be printed only from within the program.
The most recent version of the software, Label Vista 2.16,
featuresadded functionality. The new networking capability
allows for configuration, network printing and FTP file
transfer. Zebra Cameo 3N, Encore 3N, and QL Series printers
can be configured using simple-to-use dialog boxes. These
new features also allow the network administrator to monitor
the printer from a browser, change its settings, send alerts
to the printer, or print via the network, all without leaving
the office.
With Label Vista, users can easily design labels in a style
of their choosing that can be printed on any CPCL-compatible
printer.
System Recommendations:
An IBM-compatible PC with a CD-ROM drive and the minimum
configuration to run Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP will have
sufficient memory to run Label Vista 2.16
