EnCode
is the quick and effective way to create bar codes for your
Windows documents, and is the perfect companion to Windows
applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Access, as
well as many others.
This easy-to-use bar code generator enables
you to select and format your bar code in minutes and provides
several different operating modes for inserting bar codes
into your document.
EnCode generates high quality, accurate bar code symbols
in all major formats and features data validation, automatic
check character generation and human readable text. EnCode
is a Windows 95/98 & NT software solution.
Once you have created your bar code, EnCode will produce
either a bitmap file that can be inserted into your document
or an EnCode object that can be edited using OLE supporting
software - just select the option that best suits your requirement
:-
OLE Server. If your application supports OLE then it's
simple - just insert an EnCode bar code object straight
into your document. Most major word processors, spreadsheets
and database managers like Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
support this method. EnCode lets you choose the bar code
symbology, set the data and adjust other characteristics
then places the bar code straight into your document. 'In-Place
Activation' means that you can modify all aspects of the
bar code from within the application itself.
Clipboard. Create the bar code in EnCode, copy it to the
clipboard then simply paste it into your document. Alternatively
just drag the bar code from EnCode and drop it onto your
document. Use the clipboard if your application doesn't
support OLE.
Bitmap Files. EnCode can create standard Windows bitmap
files for bar codes. You can import such files into any
application which supports the bitmap format.
EnCode's bar codes are optimised to suit the current printer
so that they are as close to specification as possible.
As well as a variety of standard formats you can customise
the 'X' dimension and bar width ratio. EnCode also has the
facility to compensate for print gain.
All Major Barcode Symbologies. EnCode supports all major
bar code symbologies :- Code39, Code39 Full ASCII, Code93,
Interleaved 2-of-5, Code128 Set A, Code128 Set B, Code128
Set C, Code128 Auto Selection, EAN-8, EAN-13, UPC-A, UPC-E,
USA Postnet, USA FIM Symbols, Codabar, EAN-128 Auto Select,
EAN-128 Set A, EAN-128 Set B, EAN-128 Set C, Plessey, MSI
(Mod 10/11 Checksum), Telepen, Telepen Numeric.
Data Validation. EnCode checks that your data is valid for
the selected symbology and warns if there's a problem.
Format. Standard formats are included, covering most requirements.
However, you can create your own custom formats by adjusting
the "X" dimension and wide to narrow bar ratio.
For greater control, EnCode also has the facility to compensate
for print gain (increase in bar width when printing).
Height. The height can range from 1mm to approximately 3000mm.
Orientation. Four standard orientations are provided - 0°,
90°, 180° and 270°.
Check Characters. Optional automatic check character generation
where the symbology allows, otherwise always calculates
check characters.
Human Readable. Optional display of human readable text
below the bar code. Also has optional display of generated
check characters where appropriate.
